Nepal Opens New Opportunities for Private Electricity Trading
Nepal's energy ministry announced plans to issue letters of intent allowing qualifying private companies to prepare for electricity trading. The initiative could enable businesses to explore domestic and international markets, identify trading partners and develop commercial agreements alongside the country's wider hydropower expansion.
Energy companies, utilities and infrastructure developers require feasibility studies, market modelling and investment-risk assessments to evaluate electricity trading opportunities. HPC supports infrastructure and energy businesses with project modelling, regulatory tracking and risk analysis for a professional service rate of $850,000.
